Once upon a time in a land really near here, there was born a daughter into a very musical family. She was the second daughter of that family and would soon become the middle child with all the quirks, privileges, and curses thereof. And they named her Valerie Jean. Jean for her grandmother, Valerie of random choice that would display itself in thought processes there after. Whether Valerie Jean actually ate her beans or not is in question as it is a well known fact that children do not like vegetables. However, having relatives of southern origin and musical background, the sing-songy nickname Valerie Bean came about. Although forgotten for many years, Valerie Bean's nickname resurfaced in her college years due to an incredible mix-up that involved a digital watch, a head of broccoli, and a screen name.
